Welcome to ZOE: Zeal Optimism Excellence LLC, is a mental health organization dedicated to supporting individuals on their mental health journeys. Founded by Dr. Darrell Gillespie, an ordained pastor and Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW), ZOE combines emotional and spiritual growth to empower clients in achieving their mental well-being. At ZOE, we believe in the strength of our clients and strive to cultivate an environment of compassion, understanding, and hope.

Our Inspiring Journey Begins
In 2018, I embarked on a journey to establish ZOE Mental Health LLC, a culturally specific organization dedicated to supporting our community’s mental and spiritual health. Inspired by my own experiences and the collective struggles we face, I recognized the crucial need for compassionate, human support amid the often overwhelming challenges of life.
We live in a world where spiritual practices, such as prayer, are vital but may not always provide the tangible support individuals need to navigate their struggles. I founded ZOE to bridge that gap, offering professional mental health services that respect and integrate the cultural and spiritual contexts of those we serve.
As stated in Proverbs 11:14, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors, there is safety." This scripture perfectly encapsulates our mission at ZOE—providing a multitude of resources and support systems for our community. We believe in the power of collaboration, both among our team and with those we serve, recognizing that healing is a communal effort.
At ZOE, we affirm that while God is our ultimate source of strength and guidance, human connections play a vital role in fostering resilience and healing. Through a combination of evidence-based therapeutic practices and culturally affirming approaches, we are committed to empowering individuals to address their mental health needs while honoring their spiritual journeys.
